MARTIAL ARTS STYLES
The Premier martial arts program teaches Goju Ryu Karate. This style originates from the village of Naha on the island of Okinawa. Goju Ryu is a close range style, and as such lends itself well to self defense, utilizing striking techniques and standing grappling, such as throws and clinching. Goju Ryu is a major style in the sport and competitive Karate communities. Goju Ryu means Hard/Soft Style.
Goju Ryu Karate, and it’s founder Chojun Miyagi are the basis for the famous Mr. Miyagi and his Karate as seen in the Karate Kid movies.
