For the advanced uneven bar swinger needing the ultimate pair of gymnastics grips. The American Gymnast Champion Uneven Bar Dowel Grips are sleekly built for comfort, durability and performance. Meticulously designed with a palm piece that is slightly tapered in the middle, the gymnast gets just the right amount of contact between the bar and their hand, giving them confidence in a sure grip as well as adequate protection for their palms. Leather-wrapped dowels are stitched and glued, ensuring a stable and reliable “pocket” forms to help the gymnast hang on to the bar. Gymnasts have the option of using the innovative finger locking elastic band that helps keep the fingers from slipping out of the finger holes. The band can be easily removed and/or replaced if necessary.

Only the highest-quality leather is selected and then machine-cut with precision accuracy to the correct thickness every time. Unlike some other brands, we use the same high-quality leather on both the palm piece and the cuff of the grips, increasing the durability and safety of our grips. Designed for the small gymnast with tiny hard-to-fit hands, these gymnastics grips with Velcro closure feature a narrow palm of lighter-weight leather for easier break-in. The palm of the grip is attached to the outside of the padded wrist cuff to eliminate wrist chaffing and includes our innovative finger locking system that helps keep the fingers from sliping out of the finger holes. This is our original style. We recommend this style for gymnasts that are either 70 Lbs. or less or under level 7 in ability.
